Removal and installation of a manual box (switching) of transfers (RKPP)
Removal
|
|
- Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
- To Poddomkratta the car also establish it on props.
- Remove a zanosny plate.
- Remove the driveshaft (ы) (Head Coupling and the transmission line). Wrap up an end face of a case of RKPP a plastic bag in order to avoid losses of transmission oil and hit in a case of pollution.
- Disconnect draft of switching of a transfer case from the lever of gear shifting or the lever of a choice of modes (if that is provided) (Head the Transfer case).
- Disunite the electric socket of the sensor of speed of the car (VSS).
- Liberate a plait of wires from clips on RKPP case.
- Disconnect ventilating hoses of cases of RKPP and a transfer case.
- Disconnect wires from the electric switch on a case of a transfer case (if that is provided).
- Prop up the engine. It can be made from above - by means of the winch, or from below - by a poddomkrachivaniye of the pallet of a case of the engine (through wooden whetstone). The engine should remain propped up all the time while transmission is removed from the car.
- Prop up RKPP a jack - the type preferably specially intended for this purpose. Safety chains will help to fix reliably a box on a jack.
- Give nuts and bolts of fastening of a cross-section beam.

- Slightly raise transmission and remove a cross-section beam.
- Remove from RKPP a transfer case (if that is equipped) (Head the Transfer case).
- Lower RKPP so that access to the switching lever was formed.
- Having reached a boot of the lever of gear shifting in the top part of RKPP remove it from the lever basis. Shift a cover up on a lever rod, having formed access to the holder of the lever.

- For a detachment of the lever of gear shifting from RKPP:
- Reach round a box its top part and fingers press down the holder of the lever of gear shifting.
- For release turn the holder counter-clockwise.
- Lift the lever, having taken out it together with the holder from the basis.

There is no need of extraction of the lever from a cover on the floor panel. Simply leave the lever in this situation till box installation into place. |
- Disconnect from wires and remove the sensor of provision of a cranked shaft (The head of System of decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases and engine management). Do not lose screws of fastening of the sensor.
- Disconnect the executive cylinder from a coupling case (Head Coupling and the transmission line) and shift it aside, having released working space. AT ALL do not disconnect from the cylinder hydraulic lines! If lines are disconnected from the executive cylinder, to pump over system it will be impossible. The hydraulic system of switching off of coupling (the main cylinder/tank, hydraulic lines, the executive cylinder) represents integral assembly not subject to a partition.

- Give bolts of fastening of a transmission to the engine.
- Last time make sure that all electric sockets and hoses are disconnected from a box, then start to move it together with a jack back, liberating primary shaft from a coupling case.
- After liberation of primary shaft omit transmission and take it from under the car.

- Components of coupling can be examined at this stage after their removal from the engine (Head Coupling and the transmission line). In overwhelming majority of cases at RKPP installation into place it is necessary to replace components of coupling.

Installation
|
|
- If removed, establish into place coupling components (Head Coupling and the transmission line).
- After transmission fixing on a jack, as well as at removal, lift it in adjusting situation and start to move carefully forward, entering primary shaft into a nave of a disk of coupling (conducted). Do not make at box installation excessive effort - if primary shaft does not enter into coupling, adjust a corner and height of situation RKPP and/or повращайте slightly a shaft for its correct combination шлицов with shlitsa of a nave of coupling.
- Establish into place bolts of fastening of a transmission to the engine. Tighten them with demanded effort.
- Establish into place a cross-section beam and a transmission support. Tighten fixing nuts and bolts with demanded effort.
- Remove the jacks which are propping up the engine and a transmission.
- Establish into place all RKPP acting in film at dismantle components. At installation of a transfer case follow instructions of Head the Transfer case, the driveshaft establish according to the description this in Head
- Make sure that all wires and hoses are connected to the unions.
- Track, that in level of transmission oil in a transmission corresponded to spetsifikatsionny requirements (Head of Control and routine maintenance).
- Clean jacks and lower the car on the earth.
- On 4WD models connect into place draft of switching of a transfer case (Head the Transfer case).
- Connect a negative wire to the battery.
Whether - make trial runs of the car and check there are no leaks.
