Removal and generator installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the radio tape recorder in your car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting from the battery a negative wire make sure that this code know.

  1. Mark and disunite electric sockets and the grounding tire on the generator.

  1. Turn a pulley of a natyazhitel and remove a driving belt.
  1. Turn a pulley of a natyazhitel clockwise, having removed a tension of a driving belt of tape type (the engine of 5.2 l is shown).
  1. Give adjusting and axial bolts and remove the generator from the engine.

Removal of bolts of the top arm of the generator (the engine of 5.2 l is shown).

  1. The second key hold a bolt from a provorachivaniye at a nut otdavaniye.
  1. At replacement of the generator take with itself in shop old. Track, that acquired new / the restored block was identical to the removed. Examine plugs - they should coincide by quantity, the size and location. In summary compare identification numbers - they should be beaten out on the case of the generator or are printed on the label attached to the case. Numbers of both blocks should coincide.
  2. More often new blocks are delivered without pulleys therefore rearrange a pulley from the removed generator on new / the restored.
  3. Installation make upside-down.
  4. After installation of the generator make adjustment of a tension of a driving belt (Head of Control and routine maintenance).
  5. For check of serviceability of functioning of the new generator measure its charge voltage (The section Check of serviceability of functioning of system of a charge).
