Check of serviceability and replacement of the block of the fuel level sensor

|
- To Poddomkratta the car also establish it on props.
- Connect щупы an ohmmeter to plugs of the electric socket of the fuel level sensor (see an illustration below) and measure resistance.

|
- Under the car disunite the electric socket of assembly of the fuel pump/fuel level sensor and measure resistance of the block of the sensor, having connected an ohmmeter to plugs of the necessary wires of the socket (the engine in volume of 5.2 l is shown).
|
- At first measure resistance of the block of the sensor at a full fuel tank. Resistance should make about 120 Ohm.
- Wait almost full devastation of a tank and repeat procedure of measurement of resistance - now it should make 10 Ohm.
- If indications differ from stipulated above, or the full speed of a float of the sensor gives very minor change of resistance, replace pump assembly with the sensor.

- Measure resistance of the block of the fuel level sensor at the extreme provisions of its float corresponding full (the top situation) and empty (the bottom situation) to a tank.

Replacement
|
|
- Remove a fuel tank (The section Removal and installation of a fuel tank).
- Uncover access to the block of the sensor of level of fuel / the fuel pump (see
an illustration) a fuel tank.
- Take from a tank sensor assembly with the pump. Try not to damage poplavkovy assembly of the sensor.
- Installation make upside-down. Do not forget to replace flange laying.
