Removal and installation of a fuel tank

See the prevention at the beginning of the Section Procedure of dumping of pressure of fuel.


This procedure considerably will become simpler if by the time of its carrying out the fuel tank is emptied. The tank is not equipped with a drain stopper therefore fuel should be sucked away from it by means of a special set - ask in shops of automobile accessories. AT ALL do not suck away fuel from a tank a mouth!


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Uncover a jellied mouth for dumping of superfluous pressure in a tank.
  2. Dump pressure in a power supply system (The section Procedure of dumping of pressure of fuel).
  3. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
  4. Suck away fuel from a tank in specially intended for its storage capacity (canister). Use for performance of this procedure by a set for a fuel otsasyvaniye from a tank (ask in shops of automobile accessories).
  5. If that is provided, remove the service electric socket fixed on a bumper of the car.
  1. If the car is equipped with the trailer, give four bolts (arrow) of fastening of the service socket.
  1. Prop up a zanosny plate (if that is provided) a telezhechny jack, give bolts of fastening of a zanosny plate of a fuel tank and carefully lower a plate, separating it from elements of the chassis of the car.
  1. Having taken care of adequate support of a zanosny plate by a jack, give bolts of its fastening.

Components of a fuel tank.

  1. If the car is in addition equipped with a turnbuckle, give four bolts and separate an arm from back section.
  2. Give fixing bolts and remove the thermofilter of an exhaust pipe.
  3. Mark and disconnect all fuel hoses and the arms used for their fastening.
  1. Having hooked a screw-driver sting, take the plug through passage and take the holder of the fuel line from a chassis element.
  1. Compress lock uvulas of shtutserny connection and separate the line of return of fuel.
  1. Compress lock uvulas on lines of the fuel filter and separate lines.
  1. Having hooked a screw-driver sting, take the electric socket of the fuel pump from a chassis element.
  1. Prop up a fuel tank a telezhechny jack. Between a head of a jack and a tank surface for distribution of loading lay rather long wooden whetstone.
  2. Disconnect both brackets of fastening of a tank and 15поверните them down that they hung, without disturbing tank removal.
  1. Give nuts of brackets of fastening of a fuel tank.
  1. Disconnect from a tank a reception hose and a hose of return of evaporations.
  1. Remove fastening collars to a tank of hoses of reception of fuel and return of evaporations.
  1. Remove a tank from the car.
  1. Slowly lower a tank and take it from under the car.
  1. Installation make upside-down.
