The first start of the engine after major maintenance

At the first start of the engine after its major maintenance it is necessary to have near at hand the fire extinguisher.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. After the engine will be established in the car, check levels of impellent oil and a cooler.
  2. At the removed spark plugs and ignition temporarily put out of action (The section Check of kompressionny pressure in cylinders) turn the engine for lifting of pressure of the oil confirmed by indications of a measuring instrument or switching off of a control lamp.
  3. Establish spark plugs, connect to them candle wires and install ignition system (The section Check of kompressionny pressure in cylinders).
  4. Start the engine. Some time for pressure lifting in a power supply system can be demanded, however start should not cause special difficulties.

In case of cottons in the carburetor or the throttle case, once again check installations of a gazoraspredeleniye and a corner of an advancing of ignition.

  1. After start of the engine it is necessary to wait its warming up to normal working temperature. Do not allow increase in frequency of rotation of the engine above turns of fast idling until will be pumped over and silently hydraulic pushers (about five minutes) will not start to work.
  2. While the engine is warmed up, carefully check it on existence of signs of leakages of fuel, oil and a cooler.   3. Muffle the engine and repeat checks of levels of oil and a cooler.
  4. Go on the car to the area with weak traffic and disperse it at completely open a butterfly valve from speed of 50 km/h (30 miles/hours) to speed of 80 km/h (50 miles/h), then again dump speed to 50 km/h, having closed a zaslonka (having dumped gas). Repeat procedure of 10-12 times. It will provide a usadka of piston rings and correct to their extra earnings to walls of cylinders. Again make sure of absence of leakages of oil and a cooler.
  5. The first 800 km (500 miles) run as it is possible check level of impellent oil more often and try not to disperse the car till high speeds. The moderate consumption of oil at a running in of the engine is the normal phenomenon.
  6. After about 3200 km (2000 miles) run replace impellent oil and the oil filter.
  7. The following some hundred kilometers/miles maintain the car in a usual mode. Do not try to spare the engine, but also do not overload it.
  8. After 3200 km (2000 miles) run again replace impellent oil and the oil filter and can consider the engine rolled.
