Removal, check of a condition and installation of yokes and bars of pushers
Removal
|
|
- Remove from heads of cylinders of a cover (The section Removal and installation of covers of heads of cylinders).
- Give bolts of yokes and remove their spherical support. The removed components spread out on a workbench in the organized order or combine in the marked packages/boxes with the purpose of the correct installation them at assembly.
- Take bars of pushers and combine them also in the organized order (see an illustration below) for an installation guarantee at assembly on former places.

Each component of the klapanny mechanism at assembly should be established on the former place therefore everything should be put them after removal in the organized order. |
|
|
- Bars of pushers are best of all for sticking after removal in openings of template specially made of a cardboard that guarantees correctness of their installation at assembly - pay attention to an arrow specifying the direction forward on the engine.
|
|
|
Condition check
|
|
- Check each of yokes on existence of signs of wear, cracks and other damages, special attention giving to the sites contacting to bars of pushers and cores of valves.
|
|
Remember that on the given the chance engines need and adjustments of valves is absent, therefore strong wear of components of the klapanny mechanism can easily lead to formation of an excessive klapanny gap that, in turn, will lead to emergence of knock of valves at operation of the engine. |
- Make sure that passableness of maslopodayushchy openings in a bar of each of pushers is not broken that guarantees adequate greasing of yokes.
- Check bars of pushers on existence of cracks and signs of excessive wear of end faces. Take for a drive each bar on a big splinter of a windowpane, whether checking they are bent. In case of detection of defects replace bars.

Installation
|
|
- Turn the engine so that V8 label on a damper was combined with well-aimed VMT on a cover of a distributive chain that corresponds to position of the piston of the first cylinder in a point 17,5 ° after VMT.
|
|
- Before installation of bars of pushers and yokes turn the engine so that «V8» label on a damper was combined with well-aimed VMT on a cover.
|
- Grease the bottom end faces of bars of pushers with pure impellent oil or molibdensoderzhashchy greasing and establish bars on the former places. Track, that bars completely sat down in nests in pushers.
- Grease end faces of cores of valves and the top end faces of bars of pushers with molibdensoderzhashchy greasing, then establish yokes on hairpins on the engine.
- Establish assemblies of spherical support and bolts of fastening of yokes. Tighten bolts with demanded effort.

Do not turn the engine at least within 5 minutes after installation of bars of pushers and yokes - roller type hydraulic pushers should "settle". |
- Establish into place a cover of heads of cylinders (The section Removal and installation of covers of heads of cylinders). Start the engine, hear to it on existence of the extraneous noise published by the klapanny mechanism and check it on leaks around joints of covers with heads.

Do not increase speed of rotation of the engine above turns of fast idling before filling of pushers with oil then they should start to work again silently. |
