Definition of a weak point of a distributive chain (a cover - on the engine)

Performance of this procedure will allow you to estimate size of a weak point of a distributive chain without removal from the engine of its cover. |

|
- Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
- Bring the piston of the first cylinder of the engine into situation VMT (The section Reduction in position VMT of the piston of the first cylinder).
- Holding the piston on a compression step, establish it in situation about 30 ° before VMT.
- Uncover the distributor (Head of Control and routine maintenance).
- For ensuring desirable accuracy of check to turn a cranked shaft follows manually, very slowly by means of a semi-inch drive with a collar, connected to the replaceable face head of the demanded big diameter which has been put on a big bolt in the center of a pulley of a shaft.
- Slowly turn a cranked shaft clockwise until the piston of the first cylinder will not move to situation VMT. Thus the left part of a distributive chain should sag. Do not turn a shaft further, but also do not return it back.
- Mark on the distributor case situation it a begunka.
- Slowly turn a shaft counter-clockwise before movement emergence a distributor begunka. Stop and under the provision of labels of an advancing of ignition (distributive) check as far cranked shaft left from position VMT of the piston of the first cylinder.

Removal of a cover of a distributive chain

- Disconnect auxiliary units (such as the pump of system of hydrostrengthening of a wheel, the generator and the compressor of the conditioner of air), limiting access to a cover of a distributive chain. - Remove an arm of hinged units from a forward wall of the engine.

- Give two forward bolts of the pallet of the case, screwed in in a chain cover - to reach bolts simplest from under the car.

- Give the remained fixing bolts and separate a cover of a distributive chain from the block and the case pallet. The cover can appear "become attached" to the block. Do not try to separate AT ALL a cover by means of the lever - it easy to damage!

Check of a condition of a distributive chain and gear wheel (the cover is removed from the engine)

- Put on a bolt of an asterisk of a camshaft a replaceable face head as a part of a dinamometrichesky key and put to a shaft a torque in the direction of normal rotation (if heads of cylinders with yokes are left on the engine, the moment should make 41 N • m if are removed - 20 N • м). Do not allow a shaft provorachivaniye! By means of a ruler fix position of a stykovochny finger of a link of a chain on an asterisk and replace the torque direction. Determine shift size by a ruler and estimate the general moving of a chain. If shift makes more than 3 mm, it is necessary to replace a chain.

Installation

- By means of a prokladochny scraper remove from interfaced surfaces of a cover and the block all traces of a material of old laying and hermetic. Stop up the formed opening in a forward part of the pallet of a case with rags in order to avoid hit in the engine of extraneous subjects and garbage. Take out from a forward part of the pallet of a case semicircular rubber consolidation. Wipe interfaced surfaces of a cover the rags moistened in acetone.
- At installation of a new asterisk of a cranked shaft take care of combination of its shponochny groove with a shponka in a shaft pin.

Replacement of a distributive chain is made in a set with asterisks. Installation of a new chain on old asterisks is inadmissible. Having combined a shponochny groove with a shponka, put on an asterisk a shaft pin, having pressed it into place by means of a bolt of a damper of krutilny fluctuations with the big washer put on it. For rotation of a bolt use a replaceable head with a drive. It is alternatively possible to begin to knock accurately an asterisk on a pin a hammer.

- Put on a new chain a camshaft asterisk, then turn an asterisk a distributive label down. Put on a chain an asterisk of a cranked shaft and establish a camshaft asterisk on its pin. In case of need turn a camshaft so that its shponka correctly was combined with a groove under it in an asterisk turned by a distributive label at 6 o'clock. - Establish a camshaft asterisk with the chain put on it on the place on a shaft pin, previously having turned it a distributive label (shooter) down.
|
|
|
- Shponka of a camshaft should be combined with a groove under it in an asterisk turned by a distributive label at 6 o'clock (down).
|
- Grease a carving of a bolt of an asterisk of a camshaft with hermetic for fixing of carving connections and tighten a bolt with demanded effort.
- Grease a chain with pure impellent oil.
- If the forward epiploon of a cranked shaft allowed leaks, replace it new (The section Replacement of a forward epiploon of a cranked shaft). If replacement of an epiploon is made on the cover of a distributive chain removed from the engine, lay a cover on pair of wooden blocks and beat out from it an old epiploon inside by means of a drift and a hammer.

Try not to scratch walls of a nest of an epiploon and not to leave on them задиров and agnails. Begin to knock a new epiploon in a cover by means of a hammer and a replaceable head of the corresponding size. |
- Before installation to a cover into place check the integral laying of the pallet of a case reinforced by metal on existence of cuts or deformation. If laying is damaged, it is necessary to replace it (The section Removal and installation of the pallet of a case) before starting installation of a cover of a chain.
- Grease both parties of new laying of a cover and pallet and block corners with RTV hermetic and put laying to the engine. Hermetic will hold it on the block.

If the pallet acted in film for laying replacement, establish a forward cover (a cover of a distributive chain) engine before establishing into place the pallet with its laying. |
- Establish on the block a cover of a distributive chain. Insert bolts of fastening of a cover (except for what serve for fastening of the water pump) and tighten them by hand.
- Establish the water pump, having replaced its laying and tighten bolts of fastening of a cover of a chain with demanded effort.
- Establish bolts of the pallet of a case and press the pallet to a chain cover.
- Grease a surface of a nave of a damper of krutilny fluctuations contacting to an epiploon with pure impellent oil, then establish a damper on a pin of a cranked shaft. Track the correct combination of a shponochny groove of a damper with a shaft shponka. If to plant a damper on a shaft manually it is not possible, put on its bolt a big washer and press a damper on a pin, tightening a bolt a face key. Remove from a bolt an auxiliary washer and tighten it with demanded effort.
- Further installation make as it should be, the return to a removal order.
- Add in system a cooler and check level of impellent oil. Start the engine and check it on leakages of oil and a cooler.
