Removal and installation of rotary fists

Procedure is applicable as all-wheel drive models, and to 2WD models. At work on 2WD model simply lower the moments concerning only components of all-wheel drive cars.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Weaken nuts of fastening of a wheel, поддомкратьте the car and establish it on props. Remove a wheel.
  2. Disconnect from a rotary fist steering draft (The section Removal and installation of the steering mechanism).
  3. Remove a support and a disk of the brake mechanism (Head Brake system).
  4. Remove a nave of the forward bridge and bearing assembly, then remove a power shaft (Head Coupling and the transmission line).
  5. Disunite the electric socket of the ABS sensor of a wheel and remove the sensor.
  1. Disunite the electric socket of the ABS sensor of a wheel, give a fixing bolt (shooter) and remove the sensor.
  1. Take шплинты and weaken - but do not remove - koronchaty nuts of hairpins of spherical support. For removal of a fist from hairpins of spherical support knock on it from above with a hammer or use a small stripper.
  1. If the obstukivaniye of the top part of a rotary fist does not help its removal from a hairpin any of spherical support, use a small stripper (in a picture the stripper is established on a hairpin of the top hinge; removal of a fist from a hairpin of the bottom support is made similarly).
  1. Carefully check a fist on existence of cracks, special attention giving to the steering lever and a site of landing of a spindle. Check openings under fingers of spherical support on ovality existence. In case of identification of any of the listed defects replace a fist.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Establish a rotary fist on a forked beam of the bridge and insert into openings of a hairpin of spherical support in it. Screw nuts and tighten them with demanded effort. Block nuts шплинтами.
  2. Establish into place a power shaft (Head Coupling and the transmission line).
  3. Establish nave assembly with the bearing (Head Coupling and the transmission line).
  4. Establish a disk and a support of the brake mechanism (Head Brake system).
  5. Connect steering bent for to a rotary fist (The section Removal and installation of the steering mechanism).
  6. Establish a wheel and nuts of its fastening. Lower the car on the earth and tighten nuts of fastening of a wheel with demanded effort (Head of Control and routine maintenance).
