Condition check, removal and installation of a steering drive

Condition check

The steering drive serves for connection of the steering mechanism with operated wheels of the car and at the same time provides the adequate provision of wheels the friend in relation to the friend. Into structure of a drive enter: a soshka of the steering mechanism, fastening its (mechanism) to a shaft and providing transfer of effort to average steering draft. Longitudinal back and forth motion of average draft is transferred to a rotary fist of the right wheel. Assembly of connecting draft serves for connection of average draft with a rotary fist of the second wheel. Connecting draft consists of a pipe, collars and two tips. The damper of a steering drive established between average steering draft and a frame of the car serves for decrease in vibrations and undesirable loads of components of the steering mechanism.

Components of a steering drive

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Establish forward wheels of the car in rectilinear situation and block a steering wheel.
To Poddomkratta one of car boats so that a wheel приоторвалось from the earth approximately on 3 see.
Establish a strelochny tsiferblatny measuring instrument, having pressed it a plunzher to external edge of a wheel. Undertake a wheel in forward and back points and pull it forward-back, watching measuring instrument indications. The maximum fixed value should not exceed 2,74 mm. Removal and installation

Connecting steering draft

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Weaken nuts of fastening of wheels, поддомкратьте the car and establish it on props. Cock the parking brake. Remove a wheel.
Remove шплинты and weaken, but do not remove absolutely, koronchaty nuts of spherical hairpins of both tips of draft.
By means of a small stripper separate tips of connecting steering draft from a rotary fist and average draft.

Use of a bifurcate divider of spherical hinges most likely will lead to damage of a cover of the hinge.

Application of a dvukhzakhvatny stripper for a detachment of a tip of connecting steering draft from a rotary fist - pay attention that the nut was only weakened, but not removed completely; it allows to avoid a spontaneous partition of components.

If connecting draft demands replacement, count up quantity of naked rounds of a carving and write down result, for the purpose of observance of former convergence of forward wheels at assembly. Weaken a collar of a tube of a regulator and unscrew a draft tip.

If the left tip connecting the helmsman of draft is subject to replacement, count up and write down quantity of naked rounds the carvings which are sticking out of a tube of a regulator and a new tip roll taking into account these data.

Grease a carving part of a tip of draft with greasing for chassis components. Screw a new tip in a tube of a regulator and, screwing in draft in a tube, adjust distance from the last to a spherical hairpin, having left the same quantity of naked rounds of a carving that took place before dismantling (see the made record) (the number of naked rounds from both parties of a regulator should not differ one from another more than on three). Do not tighten while collars of a tube of a regulator.
For installation of assembly of connecting steering draft insert a spherical hairpin of its left tip into a rotary fist, and a hairpin of the right tip - in average draft. Screw nuts and tighten them with demanded effort. If the spherical hairpin at a tightening of nuts is turned, knock down it in a konusny opening by means of big nippers.
Establish new шплинты. In case of need tighten a nut a little more for combination of the next spent on drink with an opening under шплинт in a hairpin.
Tighten nuts of collars of a tube of a regulator with demanded effort (see. Specifications to Head of Control and routine maintenance). Drive away the car in a workshop on adjustment of corners of installation of forward wheels where corners will be checked and correctly are modified.

Average steering draft

PERFORMANCE ORDER

To Poddomkratta a car front also establish it on props. Cock the parking brake.
Weaken, but do not remove, nuts of fastening of spherical hairpins of average bent for of connecting draft and to a rotary fist. Separate average draft from a rotary fist (see an illustration) and from connecting draft by means of a dvukhzakhvatny stripper, then remove nuts.

For a detachment of average steering draft from connecting draft use a small stripper.

Following the same technology, separate average draft from a soshka of the steering mechanism. If the left tip of average the helmsman of draft demands replacement, execute procedures of item 5 and 6 of this Section.
Installation make upside-down. If any of spherical hairpins it starts to be turned at a tightening of a fixing nut, tire out it in a konusny opening by means of big nippers. All fixture tighten with demanded effort.

Damper of a steering drive

To Poddomkratta a car front also establish it on props.
Disconnect a steering damper from average draft, having used a method described in item 2.
To Otboltita a damper from a frame also remove it from the car.
Installation make upside-down. Fixture of a damper tighten with demanded effort.
