Coupling - the general description and check of serviceability of functioning

On all cars equipped with RKPP, one-disk coupling of dry type with a diafragmenny spring is established. The disk couplings (conducted) is equipped with the shlitsovanny nave providing its free sliding lengthways шлицов of primary shaft of a transmission. Conducted and press disks keep pressed to each other at the expense of the effort developed by a diafragmenny spring of a press disk.

The system of switching off of coupling functions at the expense of hydraulic pressure. The hydraulic system of switching off of coupling consists of a pedal of coupling, the main cylinder with the tank of hydraulic liquid, hydraulic lines, the executive cylinder and the lever of switching off of coupling which is in the coupling case.

When squeezing a pedal of coupling hydraulic pressure is put to the vyzhimny bearing via the lever of switching off of coupling. The bearing nestles on petals of a diafragmenny spring of a press disk in assembly of a basket which, in turn, releases a conducted disk.

At discussion of the procedures connected with service of knots of coupling there can be the problems connected with terminology as common names of many components differ from accepted by manufacturers. Except change of obviously damaged components it is necessary to make regularly preventive checks of a condition of coupling with the purpose of diagnostics of its malfunctions.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. The first always makes check of level of liquid in the main cylinder of coupling. If level is insufficient, it is necessary to make having added and carefully to investigate all hydraulic system on existence of traces of leaks. If the tank of the main cylinder appears is empty, the system should be pumped over with the subsequent check of functioning of coupling.
  2. For quality check of switching off of coupling start the engine and leave its working at turns of normal idling at RKPP established on neutral transfer (coupling is included - the pedal is released). Switch off coupling (squeeze out a pedal), wait some seconds and transfer a box to the provision of a reverse gear. Thus there should be no gnash and other extraneous noise. Presence of those with a big share of probability indicates malfunction of a press or conducted disk of coupling (provided that RKPP as it should be).
  3. For check of completeness of switching off of coupling start the engine (the parking brake cock for the purpose of prevention of a stragivaniye of the car) and hold a coupling pedal approximately in 13 mm over a floor. Several times switch a box, translating it from the provision of the first transfer to situation back and back. If smoothness in switchings of a box is absent, malfunction of components of coupling takes place. Check a course of a pusher of the executive cylinder. At completely squeezed out pedal the pusher of the executive cylinder should act considerably. If it not so, check liquid level in the main cylinder.
  4. Make visual check of a condition of the axial plug in the top part of a pedal of coupling. Make sure of lack of signs of its zakusyvaniye or excessive люфта.
