Removal, service and installation of a nave and bearings (forward wheel)

Removal

Nave assembly with the bearing and accompanying components


This procedure is applicable only to 4WD models. On not all-wheel drive models bearings of tight type are used.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove a nave cap, шплинт and a nut clamp, then give a nave nut.
  1. Before поддомкрачивать the car remove шплинт and a lock-nut, then weaken a nave nut.
  1. Weaken nuts of fastening of a forward wheel, поддомкратьте a front of the car and establish it on props. Remove a wheel.
  2. Remove a support and a disk of the brake mechanism (Head Brake system).
  3. Remove a nave nut. To Otboltita nave assembly from a rotary fist also beat out it from a nest in a fist. If shlitsa of a nave "became attached" to an axis, use a stripper.
  1. Give a forward bolt (shooter) …

… and two back bolts (arrow) of fastening of assembly of a nave to a rotary fist (12 beam head is required).

  1. Carefully bring down nave assembly from a rotary fist.

Service

The nave block with the bearing is not subject to dismantling. In case of damage or wear of a nave or the bearing all assembly is subject to replacement.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Emery paper smooth out an opening in a rotary fist, having removed from it all traces of corrosion and dirt. Grease shlitsa driving and greasing for wheel bearings. The same greasing use for greasing of walls of an opening in a rotary fist and establish nave assembly into place. Tighten bolts of fastening of a nave to a fist with demanded effort.
  2. Establish into place a washer and a nave nut, strongly tighten a nut. Establish a disk and a support of the brake mechanism (Head Brake system), put on a wheel and lower the car on the earth. Tighten nuts of fastening of a wheel with demanded effort (Head of Control and routine maintenance).
  3. Tighten a nave nut with demanded effort, establish a clamp and new шплинт. Put on a nave cap.
