General information
Information containing in this Chapter concerns the components located in a transmission path between a back part of the engine and driving wheels of the car, excluding from here RKPP and the transfer case, considered in Heads the Manual box of gear shifting, Automatic transmission and the Transfer case. For convenience of a statement of a material components are broken into three categories which can be entitled as follows: coupling, driveshafts and bridges. Sections of Head supply general information about a design and principles of action of components of each of groups, and also the description of procedures of check of their functioning.
As the most part of works considered in this Chapter is made under the car, give particular attention to reliability of its fixing in the lifted condition (by means of props, or the winch which is giving the chance easily to change height of posting of the car over the earth).
