Transfer case

Box switching in a desirable mode is complicated

  1. Speed of movement of the car can be too great for implementation of desirable switching. Stop the car and switch a box.
  2. Pognuta or is jammed draft of switching or weakened its fastening. Check draft on existence of signs of wear and damages, in case of need make greasing or replacement of components (Head Automatic transmission).
  3. After car movement for some time on a paved surface switching of a torque of the transmission line can occur to difficulty. Stop the car and switch it in not all-wheel drive mode of movement on a paved surface or on off road terrain.
  4. In a box the insufficient amount of oil, or oil not that grade is filled in. Empty a box and fill it with oil of a demanded grade (Head of Control and routine maintenance).
  5. Wear or damage of internal components of a transfer case takes place. Make dismantle and major maintenance of a box (Head Automatic transmission).

In a transfer case there are extraneous noise at movement on all transfers

There is a vyskakivaniye of a transfer case from an all-wheel drive mode of movement on a low gear

  1. There was no complete gearing in a transfer case. Stop the car, transfer a transmission/transmission to neutral situation, then choose a mode 4L (a full drive, a low gear).
  2. Draft of switching is worn-out or jammed or weakened its fastening. Tighten fixture or make necessary repair or greasing of the corresponding components.
  3. The switching fork is burst, inserts or a fork are worn-out is jammed. Make dismantling and necessary repair (Head Automatic transmission).

Leakages of oil through a ventilating opening or epiploons of a secondary (target) shaft take place

  1. The transfer case is overflowed with oil. Merge surplus, having brought level into norm (Head of Control and routine maintenance).
  2. The ventilating path is blocked or the gate is jammed. Clean a path or replace the gate
  3. Incorrectly the epiploon of a secondary (target) shaft is established or damaged. By means of an emery paper or a thin grinding stone remove agnails.
